It looks amazing! After 10 years, why isn’t LumenCache everywhere already?
Valid question. We were way, WAY too early for the market. Nearly 10 years too early. So we focused on “survival” instead of closing shop and losing early investors money and trust. This strategy paid off as we used the time to learn EVERYTHING about what was needed to draw widespread adoption, where are the weak links in the product, and what is required to completely transform the industry once it does reach tipping point. All that came true, with a LOT of work, testing, industry validation, and communication with builders, electricians, homeowners, factories, bankers, and product developers.
Originally named “Legacy”, LumenCache LibRE was ONLY a Proof-of-Concept. We needed to learn from real life deployments to identify EVERY potential failure point so we could confidently replace AC as the de-facto standard. Instead of patching each weakness over multiple incompatible releases, we let the real world beat on it, and sent LOTS of warranty replacements. The result was: 1) An amazingly robust Plug-and-Play ReNetA product, and 2) Loyal customers who know how awesome our warranty is!
Note: ReNetA is a COMPLETELY different product design from LibRE. The core IP of our patent still applies where the modules transform the power and create logical groups of control (testament to the bankable strength of the patent), but ReNetA, Epoch, Ascend, and Proteus product lines are a giant leap forward from the rather simplistic LibRE platform. The Epoch product name comes from this Giant evolutionary leap forward.
